NanoPoblano, Day 28: The short rows of self-loathing.

Sometimes I wonder whether I pick out knitting patterns because I love the style, or because I hate my hands.

The next time I think it would be a good idea to make something with ruffles, for the love of god, TALK ME OUT OF IT.

  1. Damn. I wish I’d read this Friday night when I was hanging out with a group of knitters. I can’t knit myself–I’m barely able to tie my own shoes–but this is a great reminder that knitters are cool people. And that knitting is not for the weak and faint-hearted.

  2. lol! that picture looks pretty impressive! I’m always bringing knitting projects to my mom and begging her to make them for me. On more than one occasion she’s inquired as to whether my project selection was a form of punishment.

  3. I’ve never heard of “wrap and turn” – it’s all I can do to “knit and purl” – and it’s been so long since I’ve done that, I’m not sure I can remember. I envy your mad skilz in knitting!
